Who are we?

The Macquarie University Medicine Society (MUMS) is the official student-led organisation representing Macquarie University Doctor of Medicine (MD) students. We are committed to advocating for medical students at Macquarie, providing academic and professional support, and fostering a strong sense of community through social and wellbeing initiatives.

We work closely with the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, as well as national and state medical student organisations, to ensure our members receive the best opportunities and representation throughout their medical journey.

As the peak representative body for Macquarie MD students, MUMS:

Advocates on behalf of students at local, state, and national levels.
Works with the Australian Medical Students' Association (AMSA) and other medical societies.
Engages in discussions about medical education, training, and healthcare policy.
